We will be looking after team members impacted by COVID-19 no matter whether they are full-time, part-time or casual with a COVID-19 Special Leave initiative. This is not only the right thing to do, it is also an important and responsible response to public health advice.

We, like everyone else in the community, are following the hygiene instructions as directed by the Department of Health. With all the increased cleaning routines in place, and customers’ own good hygiene practices, the use of reusable cups has minimal risk.

Our team members are required to follow the highest food safety and cash handling standards. Our team members are frequently washing or sanitising their hands and we are encouraging everyone to pay by card where possible to ensure each transaction is as safe as possible.

We’re asking customers to sanitise their hands when they enter the store before touching anything. Additionally, we regularly clean tongs and surfaces throughout the day, but there’s gloves available if you’d prefer to use them instead of the tongs to grab what you want from the cabinets.

We’ve increased our cleaning routines and we’ve got plenty of paper towel available for customers to use when picking up and hold our fuel pumps. The current advice is that petrol pumps are no more likely than any other hard surface to carry germs. Like many others, we’re doing our best to source additional supplies of hand sanitiser and other cleaning supplies, these are available inside stores for customer use.
