7-ELEVEN IS NOW DELIVERING

Fair Work Ombudsman report - a statement from Angus McKay

30 October 2020

7-Eleven welcomes the release of the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) compliance partnership report today, and we would like to thank the FWO for working collaboratively with us over the past five years.

Since 2015, we have continued to undertake independent reviews and audits, make improvements to our systems and processes, update workplace relations training programs and share our learnings with both the FWO and our industry.

This has led us to the position of having industry leading compliance processes and procedures.

With ongoing support from staff across our network, we are incredibly pleased with the progress we have continued to make.

I said we would be accountable for our actions and take ownership of our remediation journey. I truly believe we have done just that and will continue to do so.

We remain absolutely committed to ensuring continued compliance with all workplace laws and regulations across our Australian network.

Since September 2015, 7-Eleven has made payments of $173.6 million in wages, interest and superannuation. To date, 7-Eleven has not attempted to recover from franchisees any of the money that has been paid out.
