7-ELEVEN IS NOW ON UBER EATS

Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal

16 April 2019

Last week our Victorian support teams kick started their 2019 fundraising efforts with Uncle Bob’s Club for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal with a barbeque at the new Richmond office.

Between the barbeque, raffle and silent auction the team raised $9,180, which will be matched by 7-Eleven’s Good Cause program to bring the total to $18,360! Thanks so much to our teams for organising the event, and to our wonderful suppliers who donated prizes and auction items.

This total is a great start to the Good Friday Appeal donations tally for 2019.

7-Eleven has been working with Uncle Bob’s Club for 11 years to raise funds for the hospital and the amazing work they do to look after kids in our community.

The program includes in-store tins, ongoing fundraising from our Victorian support team. Lots of fantastic volunteers from 7-Eleven, Uncle Bob’s Club, the Freemasons and the Melbourne Fire Brigade also get out into our Victorian stores on Good Friday, to rattle the tins and collect as much as possible for the appeal.

Our volunteer collectors will get the chance to enjoy some free coffees, Slurpees and a sandwich or two to keep them energised to keep those tins rattling.

We’re really proud that over the 11 years we have worked with Uncle Bob’s Club, together we have raised more than $700,000 and we hope to top our 2018 total of $110,000 in 2019!

If you’d like to help us beat last year’s effort - keep an eye out for our collectors in-store on Good Friday or the tins on counters in the lead up to Easter.
