7-ELEVEN IS NOW ON UBER EATS

7-Eleven Singleton now open and looking to recruit

07 August 2020

7-Eleven Singleton opens Thursday 6 August with five new team members, many of whom are starting new careers in retail due to COVID-19. Former local, and existing 7-Eleven Corporate Store Manager, Hayley Kiker, is returning to her hometown to manage the new store.

“I’m looking forward to returning to the great community I grew up in, making some brand-new connections in the community, and bringing the brand I love with me,” Ms Kiker said.

Ms Kiker is excited to be working with a new team and helping them learn their new roles serving the Singleton community.

“We have five new team members, many of whom are moving into convenience retail after having lost hours or jobs in other industries due to COVID-19 and four of our existing team members will be making the move up. We are hoping to recruit a few more team members to join us. We’re looking for people who have excellent attention to detail, great customer service skills, and are committed to delivering the highest standards in the store for our customers.”

The new store will provide a range of convenient products and services for Singleton locals. Shoppers will be able to grab their favourite products and fill up at any time as the store will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It will feature a full range of fresh food and convenience options including; 7-Eleven’s handmade sandwiches, wraps and Krispy Kreme doughnuts which are delivered fresh every day, as well as 7-Eleven’s $1 freshly ground coffee, and Slurpee including Slurpee Low Sugar options.

Singleton locals can use the My 7-Eleven app. Using the app, drivers can lock in the cheapest fuel price locally available at the five closest 7-Eleven stores and redeem it anytime in the next seven days at any 7-Eleven fuel store. As a bonus the My 7-Eleven app also has regular offers on the great range of products instore.

According to 7-Eleven National Manager Corporate Stores, Marc Costabile, New South Wales drivers have made savings by using the 7-Eleven fuel lock feature.

“New South Wales drivers using the 7-Eleven fuel lock have saved more than $8.5 million since January 2017. An average of $5.51 per fill (an average of 14 cents per litre) has been saved,” Mr Costabile said.

The Singleton store will have the full range of Mobil fuel. Mobil brand fuels are engineered to work harder and improve fuel economy for the consumer. Fuels on offer include Supreme 98, Extra 95, Special E10, Special Unleaded 91 and Special Diesel.

Mr Costabile says the company’s ongoing growth is providing opportunities for team members to build careers in both the corporate and franchised networks.

“Most of our new build stores open as corporate stores, providing internal opportunities for our corporate store team to progress in their careers. Hayley started with 7-Eleven three years ago . It’s fantastic to have her leading a new team in her local area. As a leader, watching your team members take advantage of the career opportunities created from their hard work and talent is incredibly rewarding,” Mr Costabile said.

Growth in the 7-Eleven network has strong, with approximately 30 stores opening each year nationally.

“It’s important to us that we continue to build a network of stores in convenient local areas that fulfil the needs of our customers,” Mr Costabile concluded.
