7-ELEVEN IS NOW ON UBER EATS

7-Eleven keeping things cool 24/7 this Summer with new frozen drink options

01 December 2021

In addition to the classic Slurpee, 7-Eleven Australia is providing more icy drink options than ever with new self-serve, blend your own drink machines, an Australian first; and a range of new Slurpee and classic favourite Slurpee Low Sugar flavours hitting stores from November onwards.

After a trial in selected stores over the past year, the new 7-Eleven Smoothies, Frappes and more self-serve machines will be installed across Western Australia and Queensland by the end of November with New South Wales and Victoria expected to get state-wide access in 2022. The new self-serve machines make more than 30 different blended drink options including Smoothies, Frappes, Lemonades, and Shakes.

According to 7-Eleven Australia General Manager – Customer, Julie Laycock, the new 7-Eleven Smoothie machines are already proving popular.

“We ramped up our trial on the new machines in select stores in 2021, and customers have loved this cool new offer. I think the machines have been a bit of a social media hit as people have spotted them in store. Some of our customers’ videos of discovering the machines have even gone viral with millions of views which is fantastic,” Ms Laycock said.

“We’re there to make Summer wonderfully easier 24/7 for our customers. Being able to provide new and exclusive options for our customers to try is what we get excited about, so it’s great to see our customers’ reactions to the new drink options.”

But Ms Laycock says fans of the classic frozen treat, Slurpee, won’t miss out, with new flavours to try across the country.

“In our stores nation-wide, there will be new Slurpee flavours and the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes as part of the Slurpee Mystery Flavours campaign. There’s two mystery flavours a month on rotation until February, Mystery Red and Mystery Turquoise kicked off the competition in November,” she said.

“Customers can win a share of $10,000 worth of gift cards, 12,500 instant win Slurpees or $7,500 of holiday vouchers by buying a 7-Eleven Mystery Flavour, scanning the QR code to enter the competition and correctly guessing what flavour it is.”

For those looking for low sugar options, 7-Eleven is providing a range of rotating Slurpee Low Sugar flavours in every store nationwide.

“We were the first in Australia to invest in providing customers with the choice of a low sugar option in the category. There will be a range of delicious low sugar options for consumers to choose from. November will see Slurpee Low Sugar Wildberry Cream and Slurpee Low Sugar Sour Apple in rotation, with Slurpee Low Sugar Kiwi Strawberry and Slurpee Low Sugar Pink Lemonade available in December.

“Enjoying a treat of a frozen drink on a warm day is such an iconic part of Summer for many Australians. Being able to provide customers with new frozen drink choices alongside our classic and Low Sugar Slurpee is something we’re thrilled to provide and we can’t wait to see which options are our customers’ favourites over the months ahead,” Ms Laycock concluded.
