7-Eleven’s $1 Day back to support Save the Children’s One Dollar Day

7-Eleven is proud to be partnering with Save the Children to support their annual One Dollar Day fundraising campaign.  7-Eleven will be supporting the child rights organisation by bringing back their own $1 Day today only.  

While in store, customers will be encouraged to donate $1.00 to the Save the Children via collection tins.  Volunteers from 7-Eleven’s head office team will be in stores rattling tins and encouraging donations.

The money raised will help support local and international educational aid programs.

Save the Children’s ‘Back to School’ is program for young people who have fled Syria to escape the current conflict. The program will help provide a safe and stable learning environment within refugee camps and host communities.

Locally, donations raised will help fund an initiative dedicated to early childhood education for disadvantaged children in Australia.  The program aims to provide a solid and positive foundation for their ongoing education.

Julie Laycock, 7-Eleven’s Head of Marketing said, “we’re thrilled to be partnering with the charitable organisation Save the Children to support these causes. We really hope our customers will embrace the opportunity to help others, and are as excited as we are to provide support to so many people in need.  We know that together we really can make a difference”.

Products available for $1.00 include Ice Break 500ml, Mother 250ml energy drinks and Cadbury medium bars (select varieties), amongst many others.  Ones that we know will be favourites with our customers are a large coffee, a small Slurpee and the delicious Krispy Kreme original glaze doughnut!

7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd will be additionally supporting the cause by matching customer donations up to $100,000.
