7-Eleven awarded at AACS convenience industry gala

7-Eleven was last night presented with two awards at the Australian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS) gala dinner in Canberra.

Leadership through innovation was the theme of this year’s awards.

  • AACS Major Retailer Head Office of the Year 2013

Kirandeep and Samandeep Singh’s Eatons Hill 7-Eleven store won the ACCS Major Retail Franchised Store of the Year, thanks to their leadership. Their leadership ensures their staff are delivering best practice industry standards, with a focus on outstanding customer service.

7-Eleven’s CEO, Warren Wilmot, said he was proud of Kirandeep and Samandeep for leading such a strong team.

“Kirandeep and Samandeep have inspired their team to provide a premium service to our customers. Their exceptional attention to detail, focus on customer service and ongoing hard work has contributed to this well-deserved recognition”, Warren said.

7-Eleven Head of Marketing, Julie Laycock, accepted the award for Major Retailer Head Office of the Year. The award is based on supplier surveys and recognises the support and leadership 7-Eleven provides to its employees and Franchisees.

“We won the Head Office of the Year award last year, and are absolutely thrilled our suppliers have recognised us again. This award is testament to our excellent team, hardworking Franchisees and their dedicated employees,” said Warren.

These awards follow 7-Eleven’s 2012 AACS award success, which included the AACS Major Retailer Head Office of the Year Award and the AACS Major Retail, Franchised Store of the Year for Eddy and Nina Yakou, from the Mickleham Road Tullamarine Store.
